How to use
Using Hylar salt in one pedicure
Prepare the tub 1 min
Clean the tub and fill with warm water to the ankle. Test with your wrist – comfortably warm, never hot.
Add Hylar 30 sec
Use the amount on the package, sprinkle evenly and stir to dissolve. Invite the client to smell the herbs.
Soak 10–15 min
Let the client soak for 10–15 minutes while you set up. A warm towel on the shoulders is a nice touch.
Gentle salt rub 1–2 min
Take a pinch of undissolved salt and rub gently over heels and soles. Skip this step on cracked or broken skin or sensitive clients.
Rinse and dry 1 min
Rinse with clean water, pat dry, then continue the pedicure and foot massage.
Clean the tub After each client
Drain, clean and disinfect the tub after every client according to your State Board rules.
For external use only. Do not use on open wounds. Clients who are pregnant, diabetic or have circulation problems should check with their doctor first. Stop use if irritation occurs.

10-minute foot massage guide
Do this after the Hylar soak, once the feet are dry. Use your salon lotion or massage oil, medium pressure, and check in with the client.
1
Warm up 1 min
Apply lotion, cup the foot with both hands and glide from the toes to the ankle 3–5 times.
2
Sole 2 min
Press both thumbs along the sole from heel to the base of the toes in parallel lines.
3
Heel 1 min
Circle gently around the heel with your thumbs, then squeeze the heel with your whole hand.
4
Toes 1 min
Gently pull and rotate each toe clockwise, then glide between the toes.
5
Top of the foot 1 min
Slide your thumbs along the grooves between the foot bones, from toes to ankle.
6
Ankle and calf 3 min
Rotate the ankle gently, then glide up the calf to the knee with both hands.
7
Finish 1 min
Wrap the foot in a warm towel for about 30 seconds and finish with one long glide from toes to ankle.
Avoid firm pressure on varicose veins, wounds or red, swollen areas. For diabetic or pregnant clients, keep pressure light and ask first.
